C4 Build Question

I have a bad C4 in a '72 maverick. semi built 302 (approx 300hp) and 2:79 rear end (for now). My question is what would be the best stall on torq converter? Also do you think it would best to rebuild old trany or buy a new performce trany for $800. Any other tips?

Thanks!

C4 Build Question

I'd keep the converter around 2500/3000 & try to re-build it myself & save the dough for other parts.

C4 Build Question

with a 2.73 ratio, I would recommend a high quality converter $500 or better it will be worth the dough in the long run.
