Correct c4 fluid level?

Hey guys. I've just put a deep pan on my (pan fill) c4 and have had to fab up a new dipstick tube due to header clearance problems. the dipstick i originally had had the top snapped off so i dont have a real accurate oil level to go off. Does anyone know where abouts, say in relation to the bolt up face of the pan the correct oil level shoud be?

Correct c4 fluid level?

Well, good luck

With a stock pan, and a full convertor, I usually start at about 4 1/2 quarts. Then slowly add till the tranny operates correctly. C4's are very picky about fluid level and I haven't found a tube/stick combo that accurately measures the fluid level.

The correct level is a little above the pan rail..
Also what did you use for a filter and how deep is your pan??

Greg, I used the proper deep filter, looks same as normal filter but the pickup area extends down a further inch or so, I dont know the part number for it. The pan is probably a good inch and a half deeper than the stock pan, i got it from ASNU converters here in brissy, they get some guy locally to cast them up i think.

ASNU also have some other nice C4 bits like input shafts + planet sets ...
