C4 Servo

Hi
New here so bear with me please. Last weekend I I replaced teh servo gasket on my car didnt change anything but when i was puting it back in I heard this pop. I pulled it back out and everything looked okay but now I dont have third gear. Any idea what I broke?

Pretty sure you'll find it is 2nd gear you don't have. Did you remove the valvebody to fit the servo.If not the strut that applies the band has dropped out.

Gregaust knows his C4's - I agree that you probably dropped a strut. You can repair it by dropping the pan and valve body, putting the strut back in place, install the valve body and pan. Then readjust your bands and drive off into the sunset.
