Custom C4 app Question

I have a question regarding the power holding ability of a C4. I run a Datsun 280zx with a jatco 3n71b. I've just blown my second trans since may. The car runs 11.7's at a race weight of 3150. My question is this: can a stock rebuild with a manual vb/transbrake hold the kind of power my car is generating? If not what needs to be done? The engine is capable of about 530hp at the crank. The reason a c4 is attractive to me is the removable bell housing. I have a couple of friends that have installed the datsun bell housing using an adapter from the main body to the bell, along with a custom converter.
