C-4 Servo Question

I have bought a reverse valve body with no engine braking in first gear from Broader Performance. I was wondering if my A servo would be alright to use or would it present any problems. I can order a C servo from Broader to install. What are the advantages and disadvantages of me leaving the A servo in. The transmission is in the car and looks like I might have to drop the transmission a little bit to change it out. The engine , I'm guessing probably is making around 350-400 hp. Thanks for your advice in advance.

Re: C-4 Servo Question

The A will be fine in your application. Only difference is the apply side is a little smaller than the C .
I've used that kit works good but with your HP you might want to follow his instructions on the line pressure . See how you go will help if i can ..

Re: C-4 Servo Question

JFalcon,
As per your request in the PM I will add my opinion to Greg's. Up to about 450 HP I have found that the "A" servo works well and has a long life with the band. I have never suffered a broken band with the "A" servo and the bands show less than "normal" wear when the pressures are about twenty percent over stock. Since you have a manual vale you have probably got between 30 and 40% more pressure than stock so use what you have. Check with their tech folks to make sure of your pressures. They know their products better than anyone. The valve body mods that I perform have always worked well with "A" servos - as a matter of fact for C4s up to 450 HP I prefer the "A" servo.
