C4 filter extensions finally ready
I finally got around to gathering up all the pieces for the filter extensions.
I've listed them for sale in the 'for sale' forum.
Basically comes with what you see....filter extension made via cnc program and professionally welded; attaching hardware; and a new readily available filter (not just a screen).
Although some on the forum have their preferences in an actual filter and a screen, i've decided to go with a filter.
The extension is drilled to accept a common/readily available Chrysler 904 filter.
I can sell them for $110 US which includes shipping anywhere in the US and Canada.
Hopefully the pics are uploaded properly.
I just installed one on my 69 with a Ford Racing deep pan and it fit perfectly.
Any questions please feel free to drop me an email.....regards....John

Re: C4 filter extensions finally ready
Extensions look great.
I have a B&M deep pan which comes with a very similiar extension & uses the same filter.
How much does your extension drop the filter???
I also have a hughes deep pan which i plan to use on another vehicle, but the early case fill trans offer no stock extended filter.
The hughes pan is only 1/2 as deep as the B&M pan & i wonder if your extension will fit??? Bill

Re: C4 filter extensions finally ready
The extension by itself is 1 9/16.
My Ford Racing pan was 2 7/8 inches deep so it worked great.
Allow roughly 1/4 inch for the filter....thanks....John

Re: C4 filter extensions finally ready
John, i would assume the plate that bolts to the valve body will fit the early screen filter bolt pattern that is used on the 67 C-4 valve body & not the bolt patern used on the later valve bodies. Bill

Re: C4 filter extensions finally ready
Hello Bill and sorry for the delay.
I had the adaptor made up to fit both the early style and late style of C4 filter mounting.
So it will fit pre 70 as well as the 70 and later C4's...
Let me know if you need one....best regards....John

Re: C4 filter extensions finally ready
Another one sold and here's a response from the latest customer:
John, finally got the filter extension today.
USA customs are sure slow, 10 days is unreal.
Quality product, you should show a picture of the extension to show off its quality.
Thanks again. My next C-4 build will love the better chrysler filter. V/R Bill Ambler. Ambler Race & Restoration
