C servo and servo mod

Hi, I'm building a C4 for a friend, it's full roller with kevlar bands, alto clutches, PA input and planetary. The auto already has a TCI full manual valve body, I've got a Sonnax C servo to go in it. Just wondering if it'll be ok to use the C servo with the TCI valve body. Will the apply force be too great with the servo mod done to the servo piston? Don't want to be splitting the case or band in 2.

cheers, Matt

Don't use the servo mod with a high line pressure valve body! The "C" servo is fine all by itself - no need to mod it unless you are running more power than good sense. What servo is in it now?

It has a modified H servo in it now.

I did email TCI about using an aftermarket servo with their valve body. They said it's ok to use but i don't need to grind the 3 slots, just remove the seal.

Has anyone not done the servo mod when using a valve body which instructs you do do it? Does it all still work fine?

Re: C servo and servo mod

If you have a modified "H" already i wouldn't be wasting the $$ on the Billet "C"

Re: C servo and servo mod

No need for it - the size of the larger piston is the same - It won't change a thing.
I would make sure to keep the bans adjusted or you are likely to end up with a broken case.

If you modify the C servo it will be EXACTLY the same as the H that's in there now except he will have spent $$$ . By modifying and only using the inner seal both the C and the H have the same apply areas
