Re: Went drag racing for the first time yesterday

Any way you can transfer more weight to the rear? Relocate the battery to behind the rear fender well, fuel cell, etc?

Motorhead, the battery is in the back of the truck. I have it in the right rear corner, as far back as I can get it. The gas tank is just the rear one. I removed the side tank, so all that leaves is the 19 gallon tank located centered behind the rear axle. I'm putting aluminum heads on it this winter, so it should be makin more power and take 50-75 pounds off the front of the truck. Not sure what else to do. The ladder bars should really help in getting weight to transfer compared to the Caltracs.

Ok, I figured you had covered all the basics, but someone had to ask the dumb questions.

That's seriously fast for a 2-ton truck, I wish I had that engine in my little 3200lb Ranger
