Oil pan for Dart block

Hi guys,

I'm pullin' my hair out over this. I'm looking for a steel front-sump wet sump pan for a Dart 302 Iron Eagle block (not the Sportsman). 4-bolt mains all the way through. Having trouble finding an oil pan for it that's not a $700 aluminum one or custom-built, because of clearance issues with the rear cap.

Anyone know if such a beast exists that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I've talked with six companies in the last two days searching (Milidon, Moroso, DSS Racing, Canton, Dan Olsen, and Champ) and everyone indicates that I'm out of luck. Go figure.

I will probably resort to modifying a steel Canton if not.

Thanks for any input,

MM

Re: Oil pan for Dart block

A buddy of mine has a Moroso that will fit but it is a fox chassis oil pan. He has also just sent back to DSS racing a front sump oil pan from milidon that was clearanced fpr the Iron Eagle block. Yau may be able to Call DSS and get the oil pan he sent back.

Try Stef's.
Properly built oil pans are not cheap.

The rear cap can be machined with no ill effects.

This is the one I used on my Iron Eagle block. It's a front sump 8 quart Canton made of steel.
