Anyone watch PINKS?

The newest episode made my blood boil. Melini Bros. and Kenny Testa are about the biggest cheaters on the F'ing planet. I've never seen so much sandbagging. It's a perfect example of why they need to use the tree and a real handicap for that show instead of that moron throwing his arms down like a "street race".

Re: Anyone watch PINKS?

Pi$$d' off cause the Mustang lost? I own a 67 Mustang but i have owned a Javelin (Very nice muscle car) wished i had kept it. This show is about "Street Smarts" - not a digital paper readout. The AMC crew "Outsmarted" the whine a$$ Mustang crew. "Tough sh**!" Grow up and stop sniviling when you've been beat, in any way, shape or form. Be a "Man"! Sore losers are what Pi$$ me off.

First of all knowing Rich Christensen personally, I will assure you that he is no moron. He is an Iowa boy as I am, and pretty much grew up knowing him.
Secondly, he gave the mustang team one more race to make it right, it was up to their team to make the best negotiation possible, and well, they lost.

Re: Anyone watch PINKS?

I don't care who wins or loses as long as there is a fair race. The Mustang guys brought a knife to a gunfight and never had a chance. They should have played their negotiations smarter, yes, but even the heads up race at the end was unfair as there was NO WAY to know ahead of time how fast the Javelin really was as they were riding their brakes all the way down the track. So I call BS and hope everyone that watched that steaming pile of an episode see's the Melini Bros. for what they really are -cheaters.

I love watching the experienced racers tear up the heads-up punks on that show.
"Just show them enough and keep them coming back for more", would have hurt to see a Mustang lose but I would have laughed my ass off watching the other guy play him like a fish.

I don't know Rich, so I won't judge him.
I agree the arm drop deal is not a good system. I imagine they keep that in the show because the producers feel it adds to the popularity of the show. The negotiations could still be done with a tree, and there would be no acuracy questions at that point.

That's supposed to be the whole idea of street racing..,.You bring a car with 289 badges on the fenders but its running a 427 stroker under the hood..If you play your poker face right at the end hopefully you've got something left that the other guy doesn't have...I couldn't believe it when Rich made them race over because the Javelin won so badly..Did they negotiate too well?...I think he was embarrased because he has too much to do with the negotiating in my opinion and I have seen him cause people to lose their cars over his poor judgement.

Re: Anyone watch PINKS?

I have to laugh because a while ago Iethipian/Ras on the Falcon board saw my car with 260 badges and said people will know better. I said I'm old school and I don't think most people will know what's really under the hood, especially rice burners. Here is a picture of the car and the 408 stroker engine.

Thank you very much. The car is about 3-4 weeks of being done and I do hope to have some fun especially with those 260 badges. I just don't think people are that "savy" out there but if anything gives me away it will be the noise.
