Re: Decided to make 64 Comet more Strip inspired...

For kicks I just ran a couple E.T. calculators and came up with low 13s @ about 102/103, Im asuming thats with a .5sec reaction time and max traction, so prob def low 14s for sure. Leaf springs are new so I think maybe I'll just keep em for a while. Gonna get my lifters so I can put my engine back together and get the drivetrain in place. Then I can run my wireing and plumbing. I have availabilty to use flared fittings, just like AN- fittings. I work for a hydraulic power unit manufacturer. So those will come into play for fuel delivery. I also wouldnt mind re-bushing the front suspension.

This guy has his '62 Meteor many-door in the 12's.

But, not without a price.

If you do want to convert your car to manual steering, use the piece on this page.

It just replaces the stock control valve. WAAAAAAY easier than changing out the column and everything else.

Fullsize Page 7 of Ford Mustang Steering

Works great on my '66. Obviously verify it will work with your car before ordering it.
