Nice shots of you pulling the tires! Beautiful car as well. I look forward to the day when I can get my 60 ft's down that low. Well done.

Yeah, I have one of those too wide of LSA and too much exhaust duration for running N/A cams. I've seen specs for cams from our cam designer that are tight and wide in LSA for N/A applications. As he would tell you it's all about the combo, goals, and intended usage.

Keep in mind LSA is the result of the intake and exhaust centerlines added together and divided by two. It is a result and not a number to design for. There are also infinite ways to get the same LSA.

So your saying its a way for a designer to bias either the intake or exhaust stroke to better fit you combo?

Pretty much. A good designer will put the right lobes in the right place and whatever the LSA ends up being it is. Remember the intake charge starts with the exhaust. So the relationship between the two for the combo, use, and goals is going to be critical. LSA in it's self just isn't going to tell you what you need to know. At least that's how I look at it.
