1/4
11.662 @ 116.29
A -little- redemption from the first run.
------------------------
ALL FOUR nitrous runs were made on the SAME bottle. (no purging or wasting nitrous, and mph didn't fall off one bit from one run to the next)
I was a bit disappointed in the n/a run, so I decided to make one more pass off the bottle to see if it would do any better. (It REALLY likes the bottle, plus I don't really have it set up to run n/a... gear, etc)
I was FLOORED at how it ran on the bottle!
I was expecting maybe 10.4's if it was running/hooking well, but it far exceeded expectations. The only changes that were made between this trip and last year were moving the Cal-Tracs to the BOTTOM HOLE, which made a HUGE difference, and tightening up the fitting that holds the nitrous jet into the plate. (it was loose around 4 turns) Oops!
The car launched SO MUCH SMOOTHER with the bar in the bottom hole. GONE was the POGO and BOUNCING from the excessively violent hit from having it in the top hole. Car worked MUCH better. I also dropped the clutch down to its minimum of 800lbs.
One thing I noticed, was that I could smell the clutch at the end of each nitrous run.... so I think it's slipping in high gear. Fixing that might help the mph a bit, but I doubt it will help the ET much. I'm thinking about adding a little weight to the clutch and see what happens.
Awesome way to finish the year!
To say that I'm happy is an extreme understatement!
