We made 470 flywheel horses at 6500 rpm with the following combo:
Stock crank and Mopar 360 rods. Not stroked, 357 ci.
TRW forgeds, 11 to 1 compression.
Home ported iron World Products heads.
Victor Jr.
750 DP Race Holley.
Crane F 260 solid cam8 260/260 with around .600/.600 lift.
1 7/8" headers with 3.5" collectors.
This engine was actually built some 10 years
ago in case you wonder about the heads and the cam choise...was freshened out 2 years ago and taken to the dyno.We only have had 4 runs with it in a Pinto STW due to trans problems, it did 12.00/119 mph with something like 2.5 sec 60 ft time.

That is swell!
Yesterday i was at my local performance shop and they had an 800hp 358ci Winsor! My jaw dropped when he said there was over $13,000 in just the heads!

Buddy of mine runs an almost identical combo. His is stock crank and rods, 10:1 compression w/ KB hyper flattops. Same home ported Windsor Srs, Comp Cams 294S solid flat cam (248/248, .560/.560), 750 C&S aresol carb, Vic Jr, 1 3/4 longtubes and 3" exhaust, elec. H2O pump drive.

In his 3300# '87 'vert it ran 11.1s @ 121ish in 50-60 degree weather. In a 2900# coupe he swapped it into this season it's run 10.99 @ 123 in 80+ degree weather. By his track numbers we've got him figured at nearly the same flywheel numbers.

Amazing how these simple, well matched combos can work so well.
