Let me start this off by saying that I had bought an Accell Billetproof distributor to go with my Jacobs Ignition because my stock distributor with a petronix unit wasn't advancing at all and I put it in Friday about 6pm. The accell lasted about 20 miles and then completely crapped out on me, and I had to put the stock dizzy back in and run it at the dyno Saturday morning. So this is just a baseline with no tuning. After I get an MSD set-up, I'm going to go back, and then we'll tune the motor.

The guy said he was really impressed by the torque curve, and was convinced there was at least another 30-50 more hp in the motor with proper timing and carb tuning. I'm really surprised how much more torque this motor has than hp, but I guess that could be also becuase of a lack of distributor advancing. After the first pull he said that it's a 12 second car, so can't wait to get this thing tuned. He also said the motor sounds really good, and didn't believe me at first when I told him this was the first motor I'd built. Really cool guy, if anybody is in the SF Bay Area and wants a dyno session, give him a call.
