My 331 Round 2

I'll just put the peak numbers in for now, I'll post the curves and details later. Peak RWHP was 320 and peak TQ was 354. Many many thanks to Fasterdammit for his help at the dyno, thanks again Jim.

Is that an Auto or a stick? What are the cam specs?

It's a T5, stickshift. The cam is a 220/224 .490/.490 109 LS. I'll scan the curve tomorrow and post it. Basically, we leaned out the carb two jet sizes on the primaries, and three on the secondaries, increased the squirter from 31 cc to 32 cc, and changed the secondary spring to the purple spring. Timing curve is the stock MSD curve, with initial timing at around 13, total at 34. I say around because I had to hack off the factory timing pointer to make room for the new water pump with driver side outlet, so I'm not exactly sure what the timing is, but I know how to get it back to this setting. Oh yeah, my air cleaner is holding me back, and they suggested I upgrade from a 2.5" K&N to a bigger one and possibly an X-tream air filter lid as well. My other dyno post was achieved with the aircleaner off, this peak is with it on. Earlier in the dyno session yesterday, did two pulls changing nothing except removing the aircleaner, and it was good for about 12 hp.

The reason I asked is with a stickshift I thought the rwhp is a tad low. With the extra 12hp it is a bit closer to what i've seen from other 331 builds.

Those numbers look pretty good. A larger carb (650-750DP) would have probably picked up some. The road demons are very efficient but kinda restrictive on Dyno pulls. What jetting did you end up using on the best run?
Thanks.

Sorry took so long for reply, your post must have slipped past me. I honestly don't remember exactly what jets we ended up using, we forgot to label the runs as we did them. I know we leaned up both the primaries and the secondaries from stock jetting, pretty sure 2 sizes on the primaries and 3 on the secondaries. You're right, a bigger carb might get me a few more ponies, but this is a street car, and the cost of a new carb just isn't worth it to me right now. One thing I will get, which will help is an X-stream air lid for my K&N. With my functional scoop, it should help a bit at higher speeds.
