FINALLY!! Got dyno #\'s on 408!

I finally got this thing running. 1970 mach 1 that weighs 3320 w/me. 408/vic jr heads, 10.5 compression, custom Ed hyd roller cam, rpm intake, 750 proformed body carb, and 1 5/8 headers. Made 519 fwhp at 5800 and 534 ft/lbs at 4500. Had 500 or better on the torque from 4000 to 5400. Had 500 or better on the hp from 5200 to 6300 when we quit the pulls. Gonna try to get her on the road tonight!! Any guesses on what this things gonna run with a c-4 with 3000 converter and 4.11 gear?? Can't wait!!

Sweet, looks like its going to be one tough street machine! Based on conversion charts with your weight, I would say you will run an even 7 in the 1/8 or a 11 in the 1/4. Would you mind posting your cams duration numbers?

Cam #'s are like .586, .586 lift and 244, 246 dur @.050. I could bring the cam card in to get exact.

I am using FPA 1 5/8 but they go to 1 3/4 after 4" so I hope my 408 doesnt hurt too much from the initial 1 5/8 primaries.

Not sure I buy into the bigger is always better header mantra with windsor strokers. Keith Kraft got 620hp out the same frp step headers you have on one of his 408's. I just put them on my 420 but don't have #'s yet.
