Here’s an engine that got dynode recently that is going into a 3500lb 1968 falcon. Racing the car on Feb 4 and will post the results.

Ford Winsdor 351 Stoker
452 cubic inch displacement
4.1 Stroke
6.2 Rod
10.2 to 1 compression
452 ci
Edelbrock Victor Jr Ported Heads 215cc
Flat Tappet Camshaft
850 Proform Carb
Victor Jr Manifold

Engine produced 8 more hp with a 2 inch carb spacer, which wont be used in the car.

RPM CBT CBHp
3500 490 327
3750 484 345
4000 493 375
4250 521 422
4500 547 469
4750 564 510
5000 563 536
5250 551 551
5500 552 578
5750 539 590
6000 510 583
6250 495 589
6500 478 591

I needed to compromise on the manifold. A Super Victor would have been better, as the BSFC showed however, I didn’t want the carb sitting outside on the hood.

These engine dyno figures are without water pump and alternator. Hoping it’ll put out an honest 500hp in the car, which should let in run low 11’s at around 123mph

4.19" bore?? Must be a Ford Racing block is it? Cam specs....I'm picking it must be quite small? What primary use is the engine built for?

It's a Dart Block. Cam is small. It's for street use with occassional drag racing. Want to drive it there, race and drive home.

Hhhmmm...... I'm just wondering if you could cam this thing up abit without sacrificing the bottom end too much?? It's certainly one BIG small block so you have sheer cubic inches on your side.
Is it an off the shelf grind

The cam is off-the-shelf. It's a Crane F-268/394-2S5-8
The heads flow for 605hp at .600 lift. It took a lot of work to get the turbulance out of the heads at mid lift.

With AFR heads (instead of the ported Victor Jr Heads) and a street roller cam, 680hp with 10.3 compression is achievable - I know, there's about three fords in my area running that combo

Didn't get to race car because the brakes failed. All ready, but no brakes! I'll be racing again in about three weeks time, and will keep you guy's posted.

Wanna share more info on these other motors that have afr heads and 10.3:1 compression ratio with a street roller cam making 680hp, seems kinda high, but you never know and I'm planning on building a 427w this spring/summer, and the more combos I hear the better. Thanks. And your chart looks good to. I'd like to get 550hp out of mine using hydro roller cam and afr 205 heads, and be streetable.

I'll get the combo for you. They're all off the shelve parts. The roller cam I was talking about is a street solid compcams. Surprisingly, both the 205 and 225 heads were used this engine and the power difference was noticable (40ft lbs). These engines need good fuel, at least 98 Octane, which can be purchased from the pumps here in Australia and doesn't cost much more than 93 Octane.

I'll post the details on a two combo tomorrow.
