Its a 94 351 block. The part no# for the cm is correct, its the stage 1 cam. The heads are the TFW heads, 514000002 is part#. I will have it all together soon, and I will see what it dyno's. Remeber, my car only weigh's 2650. 2950 with my big butt in it. Its still under 3k. With slicks, and my 9incher out back, even with 325 as 87stang says, I will still be in the low 12's easily. Also I have changed the carb to a 670cfm.

This is also a NA engine. Trust me, this could take a 100shot easy.

I'm being really conservative. You could see around 350 rwHP, but it wouldn't hurt your lightweight combo at all if you were to step up to the stage 2 cam (or something similar). You'd see a much stronger top-end pull with a little more duration. The stage 1 is pretty mild for a 351.

TFS-51400002, TFS-5140004, and TFS-51400010 heads use 7/16" head bolts. 1/2" head bolts can be used by drilling out restrictions.

BTW that cam was intended for a 5.0, it is way small for a 351.

There is no such thing as a cam being to small. Cams provide lift. Now a 351 can take more lift to be sure, but there is no such thing as being to small. Pleas explain to me then what is considered to be a big cam in a 302 ? If so, tell me that you could not take the same and put it in a 351 ?

remeber I am building a street car. Not a all and out Strip car. This car will goto the strip on midnight madness sometimes, but its going to be a street driven ride. I believe that this will be plenty of cam for my combo.

If not, i can easily goto a stage 2. We will see this week I guess.

It is not the lift that is important, but the duration and the time that the valve events occur at. That cam will probably stop making power at 5300 or so in that motor.

You really need to be in the 238-242 range for duration and 550-575 or so on lift. I am running 232-238 and 555 lift in a street car that I drove 5500 miles last year and took it on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2004 and drove the car 4 hours a day for five days without any problems. These cams are very streetable especially if they are hyd roller. The 351 will want more RPM potential especially in a light weight car. I do not think anyone is shooting down your combination, but you asked for opinions and many of us on the board have built several engines and had more than a few different cars. Its your ride so do whatever you want but if you want the best of both worlds I would make it a 10 to 1 compression and increase the lift and duration on the stick. Good luck.
