You may want to measure to see if it will fit between the shock towers.

Re: dyno 400m

What are your intentions.

I had a friend that used 4V closed chambers, adapter plates, and a strip dominator intake along with forged flat top pistons and a solid lifter cam.

It ran well but had severe cap walk.

http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...tion/index.php

specs are similar to TMeyer, Inc. - 400 Ford Engine Project with the exception that this engine is EFI

also...Dan Lee's build of a 434 stroker - Dan Lee 434 on the dyno - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums (this links to page 4...FTE was down when I tried page 1)

another ford 400 -

I have a 400 strokedto 4.06 and bored to 4.06 = 421 with big port heads, flat top pistons , solid cam and strip dominator ready to install into my fox body mustang . I was just wondering what RPM are you turning this engine . Would a set of milodon 4 bolt cleceland caps cure this problem . Why would it be any worse than a 351 windsor engine with a 4.10 stroke , the caps on a M emgine are more solid .

Was there just the stock main bolts in it or was it ARP stuff? I had problems with cap walk on my 408 Cleveland with ARP bolts, but I hope thats gone now that we put in ARP studs and then had it line honed.

Re: dyno 400m

400 is not a "M" engine. It only applies to the 351M...not the 400.

Re: dyno 400m

What does ( M ) stand for some say Modified some say Michigan . My engine was originally a 351 M , Changing the crank never stopped it from being a monkey motor to me.
