Re: Big Bore 347 SBF , AfterMarket 100%

As you can see if I change the scaling to equal numbers the cross over is at 5250, It is just a matter of how the software is used for an output.

What's causing the big dip in torque? (First graph)

Re: Big Bore 347 SBF , AfterMarket 100%

I really need to start a run about 500 RPM before the point I really want to see the results at, there is a short time while the brake is gaining control of the engine by changing the outlet valve to allow the engine to speed up at the rate I have set , I use 500 RPM per second normally, If there is a little to much water in the coupling it can cause this

His engine has less compression, less carb, and no carb spacer.

Compared to your engine, I am impressed. He has more usable torque (from less crank stroke no less), plus a peak hp that's 500 rpm lower.

If he would have had 10.6:1 instead of 10:1, a 950 carb instead of his 750, and a 1" carb spacer, I would venture to say that his peak hp would have been up over 530.

The dip in the torque curve is probably due to exhaust tuning. Maybe an extractor cone would help without modifying the rest of the exhaust.
