Re: 528 CID Big Block Ford Engine Build

Awesome build! I just purchased a 460 short block with DOVE-C heads. This will be going into a '90 Fox body hatchback. Initially the engine will be a fairly stock build. Although the engine has some make of aftermarket cam in it. Long term plans... who knows. Just want to get this thing running so we can bracket race next spring at local 1260's. There is no replacement for displacement and tehere is never enough horse power! My current ride is an '89 with a 550hp 347 SBF. Nice but not enough! Please post your dyno numbers when you get em' Thanks.

No never made it to the dyno, hit the track a few times.

9.60 with me poodyfootin' it...Car needs a bunch of tuning and some more gear the 3.89's are way to light the car is 60'in like an 11 second car.

Re: 528 CID Big Block Ford Engine Build

Hit the Dyno Friday..... F'n thing ate #5 Cam bearing, But did get a couple of warm-up pulls.

32 degrees timing and a 1050 (Not the 1250), 4500-6500 Quick Pulls, 841hp A 6500 and Climbing and a flat as Kansas 726 Ft Lbs and Never Below 700 Ft Lbs the whole Range.

I'm also thinking I'm Beyond the stock Blocks capibilities, notice pretty bad cap walk and had no signs of detonation or noticable problems other than the Cam bearing.

Should be back together in a month or two. Expecting it to be in the 875-890 hp range with some tuning and a couple of changes.
