Tire clearence

I bought a new set of 225/60/15 radial ta's for my 67 mustang. I previously had 205/75/14's. The new tires are mounted on american racing Ar-35s? (the cheap ones) with a 4 in. backspacing. On the passenger side, it fits fine, but on the driver side, the tire rubs against the fender. At first, I thought the control arm was too far foreward on the drivers side, so I bought new bushings/shaft and readjusted it. But the problem did not go away. Is this an alignment problem, has this happened to anyone else. Why is one tire farther foreward than the other. Please help me, I do not want to have to go back to crappy 205/75/14's.

Try posting on the tech board. I suspect most folks on the Fairlane board don't have the Mustang-specific info you are seeking.
