of a front tire has someone got to fit on a 65lane? I have some 15' 26 tall and want to go bigger for more ground clearance.

Thanks

I have 225/70R14's on mine, which works out to 26.4". It will scrub in a turn, but I don't have the rubber isolator on the end of the spring.
Has anyone found a source for that spring isolator?

The problem I see with going to a bigger (taller) tire is usually they are wider also. Not sure if the make an acceptable looking 75 or 85 series tire that would appeal to you.

when i did the 460swap in my 64,i called crites and autokrafters and asked what they used for front springs. They told me they use NEW STOCK springs,so i got a pair of NEW STOCK front springs and guess what, they arent heavy enough. So i added some coil spring spacers.

Yup, I did the spring spacers too, wait no I didnt, I used spring rubbers... what are the spacers? I might have to go with the bigger tires and hack the fender

A 26" tall tire - I believe, is about the largest you can run on the front without scrubbing. When I put a 66' power steering setup on my 64'; I simply used some thick-wall freezer pipe, with grub screws in the side to slip over the steering stops... Works like a charm but you do loose a little bit of your turning radius
