1966 Fairlane Crossmember Question

Will a C6 crossmember work with a toploader trans in a 66' Fairlane?

If its like a 68/69, which i believe it is.
Yes, the C6 and 4 speeds shared the same crossmember.

I thought the C4 and the 4spd shared the smae cross member and the C6 and FMX was maybe the same but different.

Thats correct, C-4 & 4-speed, C-6 & FMX.

The aftermarket crossmembers I've seen for 66-69 fairlanes state C6 and 4speed.

I suspect that you can use either cross member with the 4spd. The main reason the C6 and FMX are different is the one side needs room for the modulator.

my 68 390 c6 cross member is the dual hump kind.
