The stock oil pan will fit in the 62-65 Fairlanes just fine. Use the factory Fairlane 289 motor mounts. For headers, your choices are slim. Supposedly, Tubular Automotive makes a set for the Cleve in a Fairlane. Look back through the Fairlane Forum for that discussion. Even with factory manifolds, you'll have to chop the shock towers using a Crite's Restoration kit.

I don't think the 64 Fairlane and the 64 Comet share the same front end/engine bay/suspension. The Comet uses the same front as the Mustang which is totally different than the 62-65 Fairlane.

64 fairlane/comet swap

Actually I have a 63&64 fairlane a 64&(4)65comets I most likely will put tje 351C into 1 of the 65 because it is closer to getting on the street than the others. I also have a 67 mustang chassis car a 37 sedan 39 coupe(boss302eng) and 40pro street coupe(393 windsor stoker)am also building a cobra kit car with a 427windsor stroker as well so my collection is pretty versatile
