429 into 1967 FORD Fairlane

First time to post. Great stuff!!
I'm trying to get things in order before installing. I'll be using Crite's installation kit. 1)Should I use Crite's Headers(Power steering, C-6, no brake booster) If so should I install headers while lowering engine or try after engine is in?
2)Major job getting C6 bolted up after engine is in??
3)Need Mini starter?
4)Will my drive shaft work (currently 390 with 4-speed)when I go to C6??

Thanks for any and all help. Just trying to foresee a few obstacles.

I am currently installing a 460 with a C6 into my 1969 Falcon that has a identical engine bay and measurements as your car does.

Here is a folder I am adding pics to each time I progress.

http://community.webshots.com/album/75003604gmcgGv

1. I installed my headers after the engine was in the chassis.

2. My C6 was attached to the engine when I lowered the complete assembly in my car.

3. In my instructions the mini starter is suggested, I will see this week if I really need to use one or not.

4. I am not sure.

I hope this helps and I can e-mail you any pics that you may need regarding any clearance problems you may encounter.

Newbie here. Thought I'd throw something out. I'm in the process of building a 67 Ranchero. It has a 460/C6 and I have converted it to a Mustang II front suspension. Most of the stuff has come from R.C.Motorsports. I've got a ton of in-progress pics if anyone is interested. One area where I had to do some innovative engineering was the headers. I am using Hooker Supercomps for a Fox body. With a little tweaking of the steering column exit at the firewall they fit great. The altered firewall also made it possible to use a big-block brake booster with tall Motorsport valve covers.

i am also considering the swap, 68 torino gt fb 351w 4 spd. i'd like to keep the 4 spd. greg, how did you work out the clutch linkage? i really don't want to cut the car so it can be restored to orginal in the future. also, i understand the crites swap kit contains block plates and mounts. are these ford production items or some custom pieces manufactured by crites? also, does this swap requires a short water pump? how about hood clearance? if i went with stamped steel rocker covers is there clearance for the master cylinder? looking for big block power to terrorize the kids in the neighborhood.
