1964 Shelby Fairlane 500

Anybody ever see a '64 Fairlane with Shelby Le Mans stripes? I am thinking about spraying a set on my car. Car is currently gold in color. Stripes will be flat or semi-gloss black. I have the stock hood. The stripes will be just the right size to line up with the stainless imitation hood scoop/boomarang. Anybody have any pictures of a similar paint job? What's your opinion of me going this route with my car?

The basic story is my paint is shot. I can't afford a full paint job right now, so I thought why not have some fun while covering up a couple of the rust spots? I will spend no more than a day total on this stripe job. May even rattle-can it.

In that case, do what you feel! [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_tup.gif[/img] I used to paint funky designs on the trunk tail panel of the Falcon every year with rattle cans. Last one was a sorta-Falcon, black with a "sunset" behind it. There are some shipping containers that have a big red bird on them that is vagely reminisent of something from the Third Reich. That was the inspiration.
