1 3/4" primary tube header for 351 '65 fairlanes?

Anyone know who offers 1 3/4" primary tube headers for manual trans 351W 1965 Fairlane? I spoke to Charles Crites, and he told me I would have to wait till Jan. Even then, it's still not a sure thing. I am currently using Hooker Super Comp., but they are only 1 5/8". There is one other thing that may be signifigant, the engine is a 289 w./ 351w heads. I'm not sure if that will factor into the fitting.

Believe me when I say there is no 351W headers made for the Fairlanes up to '65 except for Crites. They are the only ones who make the 351W Fairlane headers and no Falcon, Mustang, or any other 351W headers will work. '61-'65 Fairlanes are a bastard step child. You'll have to wait for Crites to make another run of them. I tried to get some for my '65 wagon so I could put a serios stroker in it but I scraped that idea. Crites was taling about making a set for years and I waited but they never did so when I gave up and decided to build a big block and buy a '68 Falcon wagon, they came out with the 1 3/4" 351W Fairlane headers

Kent,

I am now in the process of building a 66 wagon drag car. I have bought some parts off a 68 Falcon wagon in my neck of the woods. Do you need anything for yours?

I need an uncracked 68-70 Falcon dash pad, a spare hood to modify for cowl induction(I don't want to cut up the cherry original hood), and nice unwarped and uncracked front and rear arm rests. A nice tail gate would be nice for a spare too. An uncracked spare tire cover and a rear cargo mat.

I'm glad you're building a wagon to race. You won't have as much trouble hooking up so less suspension modifications are needed. Got any pics?

Oh, and straight bumpers too especially the 68-70 front bumper.

What a shoppin' list! I sure hope Santa can come across with all that stuff. I got the windshield out of it a few weeks back for my 66 (new aftermarkets call for the same part # for 66-68 fairlane or falcon wagons). We had a lot of rain last week so I don't know what kinda shape the dash pad is in now. Are you going to come and take all that stuff off or am I supposed to take it all off and ship it to you free of cost?

Hey, when did you move to Rustchester. I thought you were working in the Texas/New Mexico area.

I moved to Rochester, NY in early August. Much more car friendly up here and many race tracks surrounding me. In fact my new house is 3 miles from a drag strip in Ontario NY and 2 miles from Lake Ontario so I got lucky both ways. I absolutely love it up here and I've never seen soo many old cars being driven during the summer before. Almost everyone has 1 or more old cars in their garage for summer use. 1-3 Car shows every day of the week in this area and race cars are drivin on the street all over too. That is a nice looking Fairlane wagon. I'm glad it's being saved by somebody who will take care of it and have fun with it also. I would like to some day put a '66-'67 Fairlane front end on my '68 Falcon wagon but for now mine is cherry enough to keep as is. By the looks of the one interior roll bar picture, it looks like you don't plan on keeping the rear seat. I'll post the pics you sent me soon.
