Moroso 8 Qt. Oil Pan in 66 Wagon

Today I had to trim the lip of the crossmember back to the main body of the member because the Moroso oil pan would not allow the motor to go back far enough to be able to stab motor mount bolts. Has anyone else run into this?

Which Moroso pan are you running and what engine, if you
don't mind me asking? I'm thinking of putting a Moroso pan
on the 351W in my '67 Fairlane but don't want any clearance
issues.

I got Moroso's 8 qt. front sump (black) oil pan for a 289/302. When we went to install, the back side of the front sump of the pan hit the forward lip of the crossmember. I had to notch the lip all the way back to the main body of the crossmember in order to allow the engine to go back far enough so that the bolt holes for the engine mounts would line up. After doing that, I can slip a piece of folded over paper between the pan and crossmember fairly easily, but it's close!

Similar issue with the milodon pan in my torino.
Seems they fit pony cars only.

I think that may go back to the issue of the Fairlanes etc. having a beefier (welded in) crossmember than the Mustangs (bolted in).

Same on the Falcon. The Milodon 351C pan fit fine after I rolled the crossmember lip back with a 2 lb hammer. It's tight, but it fits with about 1/2" clearance.
