Race video of my 65 fairlane

I ran the 65 last month with the new front end and more power and it worked pretty good. On a small 11inch tire it was running 1.31 60 foots.

Its a 460, well a little bigger then that, but 460 based. Its roots blown and intercooled on gas. It had to have made close to 1200fwhp to run 153 at this elavation. I put on the Trick flow A460 heads this year and got the car down to 3600pds with me in it.

After trying C6's till I was blue in the face I put in a turbofordhundred. That pass on launch I pulled back by accident and shifted into second almost immediately.. you can kinda hear it. I knew it would run harder with a first gear but the next pass I burnt up the second gear clutches and it wouldn’t shift at all... got it real hot earlier in the day. Its ****ty cause after tearing down the last c6 I broke from this summer, I still think I could have got that C6 to work, it was a fluke component failure that had nothing to do with the hp it was seeing….too much line pressure on set up and cracked the forward drum where the big snap ring is that holds in the clutches. I just was frustrated with the C6 after breaking a couple, and the racing season was coming to a end, so you know what they say.. "Three strikes and your out" and went with the 400.
