6 bolt block in 64?

Hey do you guys know whats involved in putting a newer motor(302) in the 64? I know the motor mounts are different. Can i just use the newer mounts, or is there a company that makes motor mounts for this swap?

Just use the v-8 mounts for the 64 fairlane they will bolt up to the 302

The only differance on the block is the spacing may be different where the motor mount plate bolts to the block. The earlier 5 bolt blocks had a narrower bolt spacing. The later 5 bolt blocks have the wider spacing that is the same as all later Ford small blocks. If you have the narrow spacing you will have to modify yours or find a set of wide 64 mounts.[img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

i took my 260 out and put a 302 right in.Use your 260 motor mounts and its in.

I as well used the 260 mounts on my 351 cleveland and put it in.
