I am looking at buying a 67 fairlane. It is a 2 door with a post between the windows. It has chrome trim full length of the body but the trim is higher up the body than on any photo that i've seen.I saw a listing that shows different fairlanes...2 dr sedsn, 2dr500 hardtop, club coupe 2dr sedan and xl hardtop. How do you tell the diff???And whats with the different chrome than all the other photos???THANKS

You already seem to know the difference, the most obvious is the post. 2 door sedan and club coupe are the "post" type cars and 2 door 500 and hardtop are the same, without the post. The "post" cars are the base low end. The stainless trim is identified with the "post' cars only. Hardtop non GT cars have the rocker panel trim and wheel well trim. GT's have no trim or fender well trim. The "post" cars came with everything from the 6 cylinder to the 427.

I have looked at photos of lots of 67 fairlanes and have yet to see one with the same trim as this one, it says fairlane on the trim so it has to be factory. I am trying to be an informed buyer and know what i,m getting into! Thanks for your help.

Club Coupe is what they called a sedan. I guess Sedan was too plain? The trim comes with the Club Coupe, bottom of the line Fairlane but the unique look is growing on people as these cars become more popular.
