Aluminum Van driveshaft ??

I have removed a alum. driveshaft from a 87 E150 van , I was thinking of cutting it down for use in my 64 , 4 spd , 9" rear .....What do you guys think ????

Aluminum Van driveshaft ??

Thats exactly what i did for my 64 f/lane got it cut down and some good u-joints installed and away i go.I even asked the guys at the shop if it would take the abuse my 4spd will put on it .They seemed to think it would take the punishment i plan to lay on it. Good luck with it.

It sure pays to surf all the forums. I'm on a jag to shave weight off where I can and still keep it looking stock. Great idea.
