granada rears

Okay, I have several 2 door and 4 door granadas at the junkyards and I'm going to get the front disks off of them. My question is, the cars have what appears to be 9 inch rears. Will these phisicaly bolt on to a '66 fairlane mounting locations or do the spring perches need to be moved. For $200 dollars are these rears worth the trouble. The cars that they are on all have V8 so will they more than likely have highway gears or is it posible to have trac-loc diff. One last thing do these type of cars have the big drums or do they have about the same size drums that I have now. Thanks for any info.

What makes you think they are 9 inchers? From what I understand
9 inchers were pretty rare in granadas.

From what I read a long time ago 8" rears had a curved backside and the 9" had a vertical hump on the left hand side of the rear cover. I also think on woody's site a poster said some had 9" inchers.

some granadas came with 9" rears and lots of them came with the oddball 8.7" rear. Yes, total oddball. I put one of these in my 67 mustang and it bolted right up. It came with the 2.47 gear ratio (granada had 302/c4 combo in it). I figured it'll definitely help me out on the freeway because that's were I put on my miles on. Best, cheapest, and easiest way to lower rpms.
