Magnum wheel clearance

I have the painted magnum wheels on my '63 and the front tires are about 1/4" away from the upper control arm. They will rub when cornering. I have seen them on many other '63s. How did you guys keep them from rubbing? JC Whitney sells a 1/4" spacer but I do not think that will be enough. HELP!

i don't have those wheels on my 67 but when i rebuilt the front suspension the left tire rubbed before i got an alinment you might check that.
