Model swapping parts?

Will 1965 mustang suspension parts fit on a 1965 ford fairlane? I am trying to make a coilover suspension kit for my fairlane so it can do autocross but I am having trouble finding parts that are less then $2,000 for a mustangII. Is this my only choice or will these mustang parts fit?

Have you considered buying a Mustang II or Pinto parts car and using the front crossmember? You can do this and upgrade the needed parts cheaper.

I will look into that. Is there a good aftermarket for the mustangII front suspension besides the complete kits? Also, what can I do for the rear end? I would liek to get rid of the leaf springs if possible and get coilovers and traction bars. If it will handle just as good with leaf springs I will keep them and what coilovers could I use?

You can probably retofit Mustang parts to your 65, however take an other look at some of the kits on the market. Someone has designed these parts to fit your application and as more kits are sold the price will come down.
