If it has 8 bolts holding the valve cover on it's a Cleveland, if it has 6 it's a Windsor. Almost no interchangable parts between the two.

In their day the Cleveland was known as the better performance motor. Now it's probably easier to build a Windsor because of easily available performance parts.

Yea i noticed that. In jegs and summit thats all you can find is windsor parts. However they are coming out with more and more parts for a cleveland. I just took out the motor today and tomorrow im going to get a stand. Im planning on dumping some money into her.

Will 351 motor mounts for a falcon work for a fairlane. Like i said i took out my motor and he had some weird setup for motor mounts. I looked in the Dearborn Classiscs catolog and the dont have 351 mounts for a fairlane in 63 or 64, but they do have them for a falcon. There only 20 bucks a piece. I might just order them and see.

A friend of mine swapped a 351C in place of a 302 in a Mustang and he said the mounts lined right up. I'm not really sure about the early stuff though. Hopefully someone who has done it will chime in with some help.

simple.. water rad hose goes into the block on a cleveland and has a flat plate to cover the timing chain, and mount the water pump to. The windsor looks just like a 289/302 but taller, uses the same style valve covers.
Not sure on the mounts for the clevelant but the windsors are the same as the other small blocks.

I yanked a 351C out of my '67, putting in a 302, and the motor mounts are IDENTICAL.

Mounts for a 302 will work on a 351W, "virtually" the same block, so you should be good to go.
