Questions Concerning 1964 Fairlane Parts

This is my first post on this forum, and I have lots of questions.

I became the happy owner of a 1964 Fairlane 2 Door Post car this past September, it is Raven Black, and it has a 200 Six, 2 Speed auto, and an 8" with 3.25 Gears for now. It is the baseline Fairlane, it is not a 500. This is my first car, so that drivetrain will remain stock until I scrape up the green to put in either a 302 or 351 with a toploader and a 8.8 rear. So far I have rebuilt the carburetor and put a new exhaust manifold on to replace the original one that was cracked. However, I have other issues that need tended to for now, so let the questions begin!

First off, I have been searching for what seems to be forever for quarter panels, mine are pretty rusted out, and someone tried to fix the problem with galvenized steel and a whole lotta bondo... so far all I have been able to find are the "Quarter Panel Repair Panels" from Crites Restoration for $175 Bucks a pop... has anyone on here used those repair panels?

Second... battery acid has dripped down onto the stabilizer bar bracket over the years... it is gone, and someone tried to fix it with some flimsy sheet metal. Needless to say, it didn't hold up. Has anyone else ran into this problem, if you did, how did you fix it?

This is my last question for now... my rear frame rails haven't aged well, has anyone used Crites rear frame rail sections yet? If you did, what section did it replace, I need the back part of the frame rails.

Thanks for bearing with me on this first post, and thanks in advance for the help!

I can't answer your qeustions since I haven't used any of those parts but you have one sleeper there. I guess you know that was the body style that Ford used to build the Thunderbolt. There are many parts out there to build a clone. Many sites as well.

Good luck!

Open your wallet and donate to Crites. They have everything you are looking for. Sheetmetal except for floor pans are very hard to find. I have owned 5 different fairlanes to make one. I have not used any of Crites sheetmetal products, but there other products seem to be good quality. Good Luck
