How do you get this things off without bending them up?

These are the ones over the top of the doors attached to the roof.

I used the old fashioned metal bottle cap opener. Use the rounded end and cover in vinyl electrical tape to prevent damage. Start at one end and upen 'er up. use it like you are going around a bottle top. It worked for me and very well I might add!

This is the way i was going to do it but the moldings are to deep for the bottle cap opener. I guess i don't see how you can get a hold of the moldings to pry them off using this method.

I remember now, I ground a bit off the round end enough to get into the trough and have the "tongue" pry on the molding. You actually need to pull with the other hand as well and tweak and twist. At some point it just popped off but the end as it was glued with sealer.

I had a hard time just getting them back on. I bought the car with them off and in the trunk. There is like a depressed strip on the under side of the door edge where the roof rail seal goes maybe you can bend the tip of an old screw diver and pry down on the bottom side.
