Engine sitting around

I have my 67 down to a rolling chassis and because I am not loaded with cash, the project will take a while. I have a
460 CJ crate motor that I pulled out of this car. It is just sitting on an engine stand. Should I do something to it?

Back off the Rockers, Change the oil (or just drain it), Tape-up all the openings & Cover with plastic and it might be a good idea to spray a little wd40 in the cylinders and ports if its going to be sitting very long. and Most imporant STORE IT IN A DRY PREFERABLY CLIMATE CONTROLED PLACE.

put something under the pan to spread the weight around, as to not slowly bend the bolts holding the block, i have seen bolts and washers about to let go before, and not just the ones in the block but the ones holding the adjusting arms on the stand, over time they can let go if not done just right. under the pan i put a big paint bucket with a weightlifting plate on top worked for me. i used a hoist lift it up a few inches, then added the plates and bucket, then lowered it down..takes a little pressure off the stand and its bolts. or put it on the ground!
