64 Fairlane Coil springs

Has anyone replaced their coil springs on there 64 with Lowering coils? 1" or 2" Also I'm having a hell of a time getting my coils out, Internal spring compressor keeps slipping off and cracked one of the hooks on a outer compressor. Any help would be appreciated.

64 Fairlane Coil springs

I just came back from the Portland swap meet and saw Quickor Suspension was still in business.( had heard they went out of business). I put thier 1 1/2" lowering springs in my 64. Can't tell you how it rides or anything, cuz the car ain't done yet.
