65 Fairlane Update!!!

Ok so I am going off to college and I want to get my car ready to handle the commuting. I am dropping in an FI 302 or 351(whatever I can find cheaper.) And converting the front drums to power disk with the granada swap. Now I have a few more questions. One, my car leans a lot when turning and such. I have updated with gas shocks all around but it didnt help much. I am going to rebuild the front end with some pst bushings to see if that will help and put on a larger sway bar. So, would also getting stiffer or atleast new front coil springs help with this? As well as updating the rea leafs? If so what parts can I use for this. Also, I would liek to put disk brakes on the rear. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this? I beleive it is an 8.8 rear end. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The rearend is and 8" unless someone changed it. The leaning is from the springs worn out. Go to HiPo SBF springs with a bigger sway bar in the front, 1" and a 3/4" in the rear. Change the rear springs to just a little more then stock stiffness. Don't get carried away on the spring rate or it'll ride like a truck. Poly bushing will also help to stiffer up the suspension. But they can get squeaking after awhile.

Its stock so its the 8" then. Where could I get hipo springs and who makes a rear sway bar?

is there any other places as well? What is a good conversion for disk brakes on the rear axle?

Unless your rear end has been swapped, it is either an 8" or 9". The Fox Body and later mustangs are well known for using the 8.8" Master Power Brakes offer their DB1515B and DB1516B kits for your Fairlane, the former for the 8" the latter for the 9".
