New Ford Fairlane?

it is so wierd i was just coming on here to post this!
http://www.sedans.autoblog.com/2006/...tion-for-2008/
hey it aint a bad looking thing just too bad its not a car(gotta compete with the scion), the fairlane is named after fords mansion. the fairlane in the 50's was to be the classy piece, the first retractable convertible, etc. the crown vics were tagged crown victoria and fairlane on the grille...the fairlane had a bunch of models.

one good thing is that it will possibly bring our cars up in value by reminding poeple of the name and its history. i just think its funny when i see a stang sell for 20 grand and the fairlane goes for way less unless its a 427 or 390gt yet all fairlanes are just as nice in looks in my opinion(2doors that is), heck its all the same metal!

they also make the new 500.

New Ford Fairlane?

I kind of like the 500, but it's not my style, really.

As far as the Fairlane, I think if anything they should call it a Country Squire, since that's what it seems they're vaguely emulating. If they're going to make a Fairlane, it should be a sporty mid-size like the Charger (except for the 4-door only thing) or Monte Carlo or something.

That thing isn't a Fairlane! I like the 500's and the new Mustang. Doubt it will increase the value of our cars though.

Wait and I will join you at the toilet.

Why would Ford put such a great name of an automobile on such a puky concept. Name it a futuristic whatever you want to call it. The Fairlane has a good reputation as being something to look at when you hear its name mentioned. Now all of us old Fairlane guys are crippled touched! Just like the movie Broke Back MTN did to the cowboys. No criticism meant to crippled people or .....

It's no wonder the Ford motor company is going down the toilet, which division thought this one up?

New Ford Fairlane?

Hey, I have a 1968 Fairlane, and i was wandering if any of you knew if a 1970 Cobra II hood or something like it is around that would fit on my car...otherwise i think i have to get a stock hood and put the scoop on myself. It would be very helpful if one of you could point me in the right direction. My e-mail is kimmeknowc33@yahoo.com. please e-mail me if you have any knowledge about where i can find parts for cheap... and i need a new hood badly. Thank You.

I saw that thing on the show circut when they first showed it, think it was Detroit I saw the pictures.
I sent a complaint to Ford and got back a basic reply "while Ford Motor Company appreciates the comments for loyal Ford Owners, the Fairlane namelate can be used as Ford see's fit to do so at it's sole discression.
I fell sort of like after I heard the Montego and 500 was coming back, and just as a 4 door, a damn joke.
