65 Frame Repair- Crites- Experience?

I have a set of front frame repair pieces from Crites and a friend who's willing to install them for some parts I had laying around. So far a good deal! Anyone done this job that can offer some advice before he starts hacking away? Looks like taking the old stuff out right could be a challenge. Pics would be great.
Thanks
S

Measure, Measure, Measure, and make sure the car is not able to move once you start cutting. I have never done a Fairlane but I did a lot of Mustangs. Get yourself a pad of paper and a flat surface to work off of so you can put the new pieces back in the corect place. May also want to weld in cross braces becouse the heat will move the steel.
Just my 2 cents, and good luck.
