what heads and rocker arms are you runnning? The "Fairlane" covers are made by Scott Drake and have newer style baffles. Used with Felpro #1645 (5/16" thick) valve cover gaskets, the rockers should clear?

Hey John64, where do you get those Pentroof valve covers at? I think I like those better now myself.

I think I saw the pent roofs listed on the PAW website. Warning, they are not cheap. Another option is an adapter that lets you run FE valve covers on your SBF. Here is a link for more info on those. VALVE COVER ADAPTER PAGE

Re: Valve covers - which do you prefer?

Thanks for the help John and 8bbl! I checked out both places and Ebay. John, your say 427 on them? Do you have a bored and stroked 351 then?
I think I'll just go with the plain ones with no numbers since they'd be going on a 289...maybe later I'll switch to a bigger motor. The price is steep but you pay what you have to pay right.....glad I only have one Fairlane!

Option 1 all the way, and Im guessing he is using the rubber fuel line to make it look "correct" real thunderbolts didnt have braided line, and if he spent 300+ bones on that correct air cleaner Im guessing he picked rubber lines on purpose. .
