generator to alternator wiring problems
hi guys can any body tell me how to wire my 64 fairlane from gen to alt . I wired it according to the diagrams i found on line , now my gen light stays on and not sure if it is charging battery . I would also like to know how to wire a kill switch into the car . diagrams would help greatly .thanks fast64

I followed the directions from mustangsteve.com when I changed my 64 Fairlane from generator to alternator and it works fine. The only thing I notice is that when I am at idle the gen light will come on). The light goes out as soon as I up the RPM's though. Been that way for over a year and the battery is doing just fine, so I know it is working.

There is a wire, white I think, that runs to the light on the dash. It needs to connected. I'm running the Ford 3rd gen. so not too sure about the 1 wire setup.
