Wiper Help Needed w/ Photos

OK folks need some help with my wipers. They do not work. The motor is a 2 speed. I am getting voltage to the plug at the wiper motor on both speeds. What about the gear cover plate?? Looks to be a circuit breaker on top with 2 green wires.

Could this breaker (if thats what it is) be my probelm?? I tested it with my meter and I do not get a full circuit, I even pull the cover and pressed the point on the gear side of the breaker and still got no complete circuit. What is this this breaker for and could that be my problem??

My guess is those wires would be for parking the wipers. What ru working on? is the ground ok? Your brushes might be worn out try gently tapping the moter not to hard you could break the magnets if its that style.

Yeah I guess what I'm working on would help.....1963 Ford Fairlane 500. I check the ground today and clean it good so the ground should not be a problem. I'm thinking it's the orginal motor. When I first got the car I tried the wiper and they move about an inch and then moved another inch and quit. I checked all the gears and they look to be good.

I thought it may be the motor but the books I have do not show a 2 speed motor for a '63 or any motors for a '63.

Sounds like brushes. could you take yours apart and check them ? maybe if its easy you could swap in a new set of brushes even if you bought the single speed and robbed the brushes. Or maybe put the new moter up to your wiper gear box??
