69 torino spindels and upper a-frames

Is this way better than most,and what does this affect for tie-rods and such!!My neighbors friend has this set up for 150 ,good deal??? Has all the rotors and calipers(used) for reference,what do you think Guys?? He also said something about relocating the upper As down an 1 1/2 for better stance??? is he full of bull or what?? learning as I go Dave Thanks in advance!!!!

I think it is called the shelby drop. I did it but haven't driven the car enough to tell anything. There is a guy on this forum that does something similiar open tracker or something like that. He makes a lot of cool parts.

Yes, it's called the Shelby drop. Easy to do, just drill new mounting holes 1" lower than stock. The issue is, the upper ball joint could bind much easier. And, generally, when it binds, it breaks. That's why you see so many suspension companies offering their solutions for this - usually new upper A-arms.

Having said all that, I did the Shelby drop to a '67 Mustang years ago and drove it for years after that w/o any problems. YMMV.
