Hey Rick
I ran the stock 8" in my 64 wagon when I had the 351w in it. I had 3:55 posi and never had any problems.. I had it running low 13's.. and thats a wagon.. Like bk2life said, they are strong, unless your putting a lot of power to it, why change it.

I've been using a 3.55 geared 8 inch in my 68 Mustang with a 351 for a while now (about 5 years), its survived countless launches on slicks and drag radials. I've even bowed a leaf spring launching it one time. I went through several T5's before the rear would get hurt. I haven't any problems.

I'm sold! This'll save me a lot of time and cash for other parts then....now I just need my Green Dot replaced. I don't suppose you guys might be using a Green Dot tranny in those fast fords? Thanks the help guys!
